A baby doll is a blousy lingerie top with fashionably fitted cups & a baby doll style dress that flows in a mini skirt type manner. The length usually ends at the upper thigh area but may extend to 6 inches above the knee. Matching sexy panties often accompany baby doll lingerie sets. A sexy baby doll comes in all varieties of colors & fabrics. Many women prefer the busty baby doll tops because they tend to be looser fitting & offer more coverage in the chest area. Baby doll pajamas & baby doll nighties are also a popular nightwear item. Several types of baby doll lingerie items are available including sheer, see through, mesh, fringe, satin baby dolls & lace baby dolls.
Brassiere A brassiere, otherwise known as a bra in today’s society, is a ladies undergarment worn to shape, support, lift, and stabilize the breasts. The French meaning of the word brassiere is “upper arm”. Mary Phelps Jacob first invented the bra in the early 1900’s as a more comfortable alternative to the whale bone corset that was commonly worn as one of the earliest women’s lingerie undergarments which often times became uncomfortable. There are many comfortable & sexy bra tops available such as the demi cup bra which has approximately half of the breast coverage as that of a standard bra, a shelf bra which covers only a small portion of the lower cup area, a cupless bra which has an open bust for a flirty lingerie look, a sexy satin bra which offers a smooth & silky touch, a matching lace bra and panty set to start out the evening right or a string bra top which is not very supportive & tends to be on the skimpy lingerie side. Bra tops come in all colors, forms & sizes including plus size bra tops for our more blessed lingerie ladies!
Bustier: Bustier lingerie is a tight fitting, sleeveless & often strapless, form fitting garment meant to accentuate & support the bust area. Bustiers start just above the bust line & follow the hour glass shape of your body normally ending at the rib cage, waist or sometimes even the hip area . The waist area of a bustier corset can be tailored longer in the front & shorter on the sides to form a v-pattern at the bottom hem. Many women accent their sexy bustier tops with a mesh panty, leg garter & sheer thigh high hose. Satin, lace, silk, & sheer lingerie bustiers are among a few of the most popular items when it comes to a sexy bustier top & they are often incorporated into the bridal bustier collections. For a more deliberate & sexy ensemble, a cupless bustier is also a popular choice. The black bustier is by far the most popular color in bustier lingerie with a close runner up being in the white color choice which is often worn as a bridal bustier.
Camisole: A camisole is usually a waist length or hip length sleeveless lingerie top with straps over the shoulders. Camisole lingerie is often worn as lingerie sleepwear or as a sexy undergarment. A lace camisole top is worn under business suits & can be made of satin, silk, lace, cotton, or rayon to name a few. A camisole set comes with matching hot panties or capri pants & is also referred to as a “cami set”. Some camisole tops have lace at the upper chest line to accentuate your natural beauty. Whatever the occasion, a lace cami seems to be the most popular & can be worn with almost anything. Satin camisoles are also among the most popular item as they are soft to the touch & very versatile. The most popular color choice is a black camisole set which is also because of its versatility.
Corset: Corset lingerie is often made with boning in the midsection to give shape to the garment and to give you a more tailored look. A Corset top begins just above the bustline, continues under the arm shaping the bust, lower waist and hip area. The bottom hem of some corset tops are often lower in the front and rise on the sides giving a v-shape pattern to the bottom of the women’s corset. Laces are used in the back, on the sides or in the front of the corsets to tighten and shape the bust and waist area to your particular body type. Matching sexy panties normally accompany the corset top. Women’s corset lingerie is available in many fabrics and styles such as lace, satin, mesh and strapless to name a few. Add a pair of lace fingerless gloves and sexy thigh highs and you are all set!
Chemise: The Chemise (sometimes called a shift or smock) is the frontrunner for all women’s lingerie as it is the name of the first ever worn ladies lingerie undergarment. The chemise is a short slip lingerie top, often sleeveless with shoulder straps, no waistline, and a hem that ends at the hip area. The satin chemise is still worn as sexy sleepwear or as an undergarment. The original use of the chemise was to provide a protection liner from rough outer garments or as a sweat barrier in order to extend the life of fine outer garments made of satin, lace or silk.
Mini Skirt Simply stated, a mini skirt is a very short skirt that covers the waist & panty areas extending down into the upper thigh area approximately 6 to 8 inches above the knee. The mini skirt first became popular in the mid 1960’s when London’s Mary Quant designed & promoted the first very short mini skirt. It was then popularized by Jean Shrimpton who wore a sexy mini skirt at the Derby Day festivities on October 30th, 1965 in Australia. This hot mini skirt was a fashion debut that never really faded away but rather evolved into multiple styles such as the ever popular micro mini skirt which barely covers the panty area, the tight mini skirt & the pleated mini skirt. Mini skirts have since been worn as cheerleading attire, business suits, sexy lingerie, clubwear & nightwear. The sheer mini skirt continues to be one of the most popular garments because of its see through lingerie characteristics as well as its stretch factor. The black mini skirt continues to be the most popular color choice because of its versatility.
Mini Dress The mini dress is closely related to the mini skirt in that they both have a very short hemline that extends 6 to 8 inches above the knees. The sexy mini dress comes in one piece, covers the chest, torso & partial legs. The mini dress & the mini skirt were popularized in the mid 1960’s when London’s Mary Quant designed & promoted her line of hot mini dresses & hot mini skirts. As this fashion statement spread, a multitude of styles & designs were created including the micro mini dress, fishnet mini dress, lycra mini dress & the latex mini dress. Still remaining the most popular of all is the black mini dress which is worn for all occasions including but not limited to dancewear & sexy clubwear.
Teddy: Teddies are a style of lingerie eveningwear that are very popular with the ladies lingerie lovers. Teddies cover the torso area & the panty area all in one body suit type piece. A sexy teddy is normally gathered & fitted at the cup area. Sexy teddies normally cover the midsection & can be fitted or loose with attached panties. Some teddy lingerie covers the abdomen in front but is left open on the sides & back of the body. Sexy lingerie teddies come in a wide array of styles & fabrics including mesh, lace, sheer, fishnet, halter style, opaque & satin to name a few. Teddy lingerie can be strapless but most often comes with spaghetti strap shoulders.
Rhinestone: The word rhinestone comes from the French word “rhine” which was named after the rhine river located in Europe. The first rhinestones were rock crystals harvested from and around the Rhine river but eventually man made forms of rhinestones were available due to the advancements in acrylic, glass and gem quartz technology. Made to resemble diamonds, rhinestone jewelry can be colorless or the crystal stones may have an applied coating creating the aurora borealis look which gives the appearance of the rainbow colors. Rhinestone jewelry is available in all shapes and sizes and is made into rhinestone tiaras, rhinestone necklace and rhinestone earring sets, as well as rhinestone bracelets and other rhinestone jewelry.
